Mandela Day

The Ndaka team makes sure to fulfil 67 minutes of kindness every year on Mandela Day to honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela and his values through community service. Our past Mandela magic includes:

  • Going to the local Bongella Primary School, preparing lunch and sharing treats with about 230 learners and their teachers.
  • Teaming up with Singakwenza in a Waste2Toys Workshop in which our team made toys to help caregivers provide fun, educational activities for young children.
  • Knitting and supplying blankets to the 67 Blankets For Nelson Mandela Day initiative.
  • Clearing alien vegetation on the Reserve.

Ndaka Cares is about more than once-off projects; it’s about the little things we do every day that make a positive impact on the world around us.

That’s why we:

  • Source locally-made items for our curio shop.
  • Truly care about the wellbeing of every member of our team.
  • Host soccer days for the local community to enjoy a game of soccer, a game drive and a meal with us.
  • Take the time to look after our natural surroundings by clearing alien vegetation.
